Kate Channing

2023-06-10 15_16_56_edited.jpg

She creates bright, eye-catching graphic artwork for a variety of clients across a wide range of projects with varying subject matters, from packaging design for alcohol brands to editorial illustrations for publications, to surface pattern design and typography. In her free time, she loves to write and enjoys creating character designs, comics and graphic novels.

Kate is a firm believer in the healing powers of drawing, and her illustrative work is an ongoing investigation into art as therapy, with a specific focus on how drawing can be used as a method of communication and a form of escapism. She's inspired by social issues, environments, personal experiences and strong emotions. She was recently named one of the AOI's 10 UK Graduates to Watch 2022.

TESTIMONIALS

"As part of my role at Arts University Plymouth, I commissioned Kate for two illustrated infographics with the aim of making topics around University Clearing easier to understand and more accessible to our audience.

Not only did she deliver two fantastic pieces of work that we were able to use across our social platforms,  and email communications, she was also brilliant at receiving and actioning feedback. Kate was very professional and easy to work with.

I would highly recommend her if you are looking for an illustrator."
